Beyond Survival: Kenotic Love and Honeybee Wisdom

Beyond Survival: Kenotic Love and Honeybee Wisdom
A presentation by Dr. Terra Malmstrom
4pm Friday, February 13th at Ridgway Library
“In December 2025, I was honored to be invited to present at Harvard Divinity School as part of a conference recognizing the 100th anniversary of Rudolf Steiner’s death and his enduring influence in education and spiritual science. My presentation explored honeybees as a living example of community intelligence—how cooperation, service, and shared purpose can illuminate new possibilities for human social evolution.
Because honeybees thrive through collective contribution, I wanted my presentation to reflect that same spirit. I invited local community members to share original, bee-inspired artwork, and their pieces became the visual foundation of my PowerPoint—bringing the creativity of our region onto a national stage. This exhibit celebrates those contributors and honors the idea that meaningful work is rarely created alone; it is made through community.
thank you for being part of this shared “hive” of inspiration.”
